Every recommendation has to survive the chain

Water → Species → Forage → Presentation → Tackle → Connection → Field Ops. The analyst does not jump from a fish name to a lure. Each link constrains the next one. Unknowns stay unknown, and a downstream recommendation cannot quietly repair a missing upstream fact.

How each declared input changes the decision
Declared input	What it is allowed to change	If you do not know it
Water type	Which holding-water vocabulary and current/tide logic are valid.	The analyst will not invent river, lake, surf or offshore geometry.
Species + season + temperature	Where the fish could reasonably sit, thermal context, and whether a presentation assumption needs caution.	Season can remain open; temperature can be exact, a range, or unknown.
Holding water	Depth, current relationship, cover and the delivery geometry a presentation must solve.	The result exposes the missing observation instead of turning it into a score.
Forage	Prey mode, profile and the presentation families that can plausibly imitate it.	Reviewed diet remains evidence, but observed forage is never fabricated.
Light, clarity, flow / tide	Tie-breakers inside an already plausible family: visibility, pace, depth control and angle.	An undeclared condition contributes no weight.
Presentation family	The tackle and connection requirements needed to deliver it cleanly.	The app offers the next defensible family rather than a product recommendation.
Connection and Field Ops	Which joint is loaded, what to retie, and which open checks travel with the day.	Species will not invent the line on the spool or close a field check it cannot see.

This is a map of the fleet chain, not a promise that every declared fact will change the answer. Season, temperature and holding water sit inside Species → Forage; they constrain those links rather than replacing them. A fact only matters when the reviewed species record and presentation model give it something defensible to change.
