Blue-green to olive back, silvery-gold sides, pale belly. The gold iris is the field flash.

Mooneye
Mooneye: silvery-white iris, usually 11–12 dorsal rays set ahead of the anal origin, and a shorter ventral keel that does not extend to the pelvic fins. Hoover (USACE) and Page & Burr treat dorsal-ray count, keel length, and iris color as the field split.
Cisco
Cisco have an adipose fin and lack the goldeye keel/iris combination.
